The housekeeping job has long been one of the least desirable jobs in America.
According to a recent survey from The National Association of Home Builders, fewer than half of those surveyed want to be a housekeeper, and even fewer want to stay with a company that is run by someone with a degree from a college or university.
And even when companies do offer such positions, those with bachelor’s degrees are far less likely to hold them, according to a 2014 survey by the Center for Career Education at the University of Pennsylvania.
While the demand for housekeeping is increasing, employers are struggling to fill the openings.
As more and more Americans retire and the economy slows down, many companies have started cutting back on their staffs and increasing the hours they offer.
“You are in a situation where a lot of these companies are looking for more workers, and they are not necessarily looking for a housekeeping person,” said Elizabeth L. McLean, an associate professor of management at New York University’s Stern School of Business and an expert on corporate culture.
McLean and her colleagues surveyed more than 400 employers, looking at their staffing plans and hiring practices.
They found that while most employers are looking to attract and retain high-quality people, they are also looking to keep those people in the job for a longer period of time.
They noted that a high-performing person who leaves the company within the first year of employment may not be as valuable to a company as a person who stays for four years.
“If you have someone who’s been with your company for five years, that person will be better than someone who has been with it for only four,” McLean said.
What can you do about it?
“If a company does not have a housecleaning or cleaning position, they have an obligation to make sure their housekeeping staff is up to par,” McLeod said.
“They can’t just keep people who have done this before, they also have to have someone that can do it on a day-to-day basis.
You can’t let someone who hasn’t done this experience get to know someone that has.”
McLean said that companies that do offer a housecare or cleaning role should give their staff a reason to stay.
For example, if a company offers a position for someone to clean houses, that could be a sign that it has a high demand for the position.
If you do want to leave your job, McLean suggested you can apply for a new job or apply for one at a different company.
“The fact that you are going to have to reapply for your job every year is a really bad sign,” Mclean said.
“One thing you should be aware of is that companies will only hire people who are qualified and who have the right experience,” she said.
McLean also recommended that companies look to find people who can stay for longer.
“One of the things that’s important is that you have the ability to have a lot more flexibility in how you work,” McLeans said.
She said the biggest problem is that “people don’t want to work in an environment where you can’t change your mind.”
What you need to know about the Housecleaning Contract: Housecleaning contracts are typically for short-term, low-level work, like cleaning toilets or taking care of pets.
Housecleans can also be part of a larger company’s payroll, or if a specific job requires a particular type of housework.
The job may also involve a lot less work, such as helping people take care of items such as pets or cleaning.
However, because the work involves much more than just cleaning, it can be hard to keep up with all the chores, and the hours of work may vary.
