The Housekeeping job market is heating up, and the candidates who are hiring are more diverse than ever.
The latest data from the National Association of Housekeeping Employees shows that there are more than 40,000 qualified housekeepers across the country, a record number for the industry.
The report also found that housekeepers are increasingly likely to be female and minorities.
Here’s a look at the top candidates, based on salary, job title, experience, and qualifications.
Housekeeping staff members with the highest salary: As of January 1, 2018, the average salary for housekeepers in the US was $86,000, up from $66,000 in 2016, according to a report from the Institute for Women’s Policy Research.
The average salary in 2017 was $85,000.
The number of people who are qualified to work as housekeepers is also increasing.
In the first three quarters of 2018, 8,734 people were employed as housekeeping staff.
The top housekeeping job title for 2017 was assistant housekeeper.
Housekeepers earn more than $90,000 per year in annual salaries, according the report.
And the average annual wage for housekeeping workers is $84,400, according, the report said.
The lowest-paid Housekeeping position: Housekeeping workers earn $18,000 to $22,000 a year, depending on the position.
The median salary for a housekeeper was $12,600 in 2017, according a report by the Institute For Women’s Policies Research.
Some Housekeeping jobs pay $15 an hour, while others pay less than that.
And there are also more paid work as assistant housekeepers than as housekeeper for other housekeeping positions.

A new study published in March 2018 found that a total of 12,731 new housekeepers were hired in the past year, up by more than 50 percent from the previous year.
They are paid on average $64,000 and work a total 10-hour workday.
The data show that Housekeeping assistants account for 16 percent of all housekeepers, but that only a small percentage of all new hires are women.
House cleaners and cleaning aides earn an average of $40,000 each, while house washers make $60,000 but are paid $38,000 annually.
The highest paid housekeeping position in the U.S.: Housekeeping employees in the United States earned an average annual salary of $98,000 on average, the Institute of Women’s Practices found.
House cleaning and laundry employees made an average $89,000 with an average hourly rate of $34, the study said.
House washers and house cleaners earn an annual average salary of more than twice that, making $117,000 compared to $55,000 for housewasters.
The Institute for Workforce Research also found the median annual salary for home cleaning and cleaning and storage employees was $78,000 while housekeepers made an estimated $68,000 annual salary.
Housecleaning assistants earned an estimated average of almost $90 per hour, and house washer workers earned an hourly rate that was $36,000 higher.
The most common job title offered by employers is administrative assistant.
According to the report, home cleaning workers, cleaners and maids are among those most likely to get hired for administrative roles, although some people who do house cleaning jobs, such as housewashes and housekeepers who clean homes, are also among the top earners.
In 2017, there were 3,837,000 administrative assistants, according in the report; the average wage was $51,000 (and they are often younger).
In 2018, there are 7,817,000 house cleaning and housekeeping employees, a 2 percent increase from 2017.
